Sunday 10th September 2006Reefcat is operational!
After an epic and sometimes frustratingly long period of time, Reefcat has a wet bottom at last. Our new cat was ordered in September 2004, based on a "Cougar" design from Australia. The wheels turn slowly over here, we have suffered from some terrible delays, but we now have the boat of our dreams, and she's a beauty...
We still have some detailed finishing to do, but so far she has lived up to our expectations. A huge deck area, great electronics, and a crew itching to catch some fish.
The first week in September 2006 saw our first marlin captured, and boated, a great start. Oh incidentally, the first fish caught was a small very optimistic mackerel, that took a tuna lure doing 7 knots.
We are looking forward to the 2007 season with great anticipation.
