Past experiences on Reefcat
Second trip for me and my mates ( Joe and Mike) after coming so close last year to hooking up some whites we came back this year more eager than ever to boat one and we exeeded all our expectations.After an unproductive first day we decided to go out all guns blazing and take a trip out to the Peeks the next day,after a 3 1/2 hour blast we got the lures out and within half an hour all hell broke out first the left out rigger was was screeming then the rod on the inside of that burst into life and then another WOW! unfortunatly all were dropped or bitten of bye what must have been a big toothy shark.Nevermind not a bad start,all rods were retieved and lures and leaders checked then sent back out and away we were again all lures in trolling along for what must have been less than 30 mins when a big beek nailed my lure and shot off into the distance jumping a couple of time as it whent Tony Bob and Tom all burst into action and the rod was soon in the chair and me harnessed to it,me being a bit of a wuss and wanting to share the experiance with my to palls played it for as long as i could and then passed it over to Joe who in turn gave Mike a go(1 hr) then the fish was expertly handled and tagged then released bye Tony and Tom, whith the fish an estimated 550-600lb what could beat that you might ask, well we nearly did later on in the day we had another hooked up which was much bigger but alas it was the one that got away (always the biggest).What a day memories of a life time with two mates and a crew you would have to search the world to beet a big thanks to Bob,Tony, and Tom, we'll be back next year for the one that got away after some visits to the gym cheers ladds and good luck for the rest of the season.

Well, what can I say but thanks for two great days out fishing in the bay of cadiz. Unlucky with the water temperatures but what a howl. Tony your great, and Bob, I could never have asked for a more competent skipper. You gave it your best...never mind that fact that you are great guys! I will be back very soon for some experimental fishing and to nail some big marlin. cheers

Hi Bob & Tony, like the new site. Had a great time with you last September with the white and that darned blue marlin. Looking forward to next September, building a new 130 bent butt just to get that blue again. Good luck, you have the makings of an excellent fishery there.

Had a great 60th birthday fishing with you not a good day for fishing but myself and the other 4 mates had the day of our lives you both worked so hard can't wait for our next trip in 2007.

Dear Bob/Tony when I fished with you back in August I was unsure about Portugal had not fished there since 1974! But I can say for WHITE MARLIN you seem to have the making of a very good fishery and the average size of BLUE MARLIN is very high. I am in no doubt the fishery will grow and more fish of great size will be caught. Good luck for the future regards Gordon.
